Data and AI
Time back for your workforce, spend that delivers ROI, and AI adoption your board can stand behind. Most organisations are working hard to rapidly adopt AI, but without a clear data strategy and adoption plan, AI investments can quickly come unstuck.
A return on AI starts with clear use cases
The pressure on organisations to adopt is real, and it often comes from the board or investors. What’s usually missing is the detail: why does your business want AI? Is your data ready? What should it be used for? How it will be rolled out? And what outcomes should it deliver?
Efficiency gains from understanding your work
Unlike some technologies, the value of AI is clearly visible for every individual role. Each team will use AI in a different way. An IT manager could guess which tasks in the finance or delivery team should be augmented with AI, but they would probably get it wrong. The only reliable way to find out is to speak to the people doing the work.
Adoption starts and ends with your users
We start with your users and the outcomes the business wants, identify the use cases with the biggest impact, and then approach the technology implementation.
We partner with Microsoft for AI, so everything we recommend runs inside the environment your people already work in, under the identity, security and compliance controls you already have. Every engagement includes the guardrails: a clear policy on what AI can be used for, controls over the data it can reach, and visibility of the tools people are using outside approved channels.
Smarter decisions, built on data you can trust
AI can only work with the information it can reach, and it’s only as safe as the permissions around that information. Data that’s scattered across systems, duplicated or shared too widely limits what AI can do and increases what it can expose. Part of every engagement is establishing whether your data is ready for the use cases you’ve prioritised, and what needs to change if it isn’t.

Which AI drives the outcomes you need?
AI is no longer a single technology. Broadly, it falls into three types, and most organisations will end up using more than one.
Generative AI
Produces content on request. It drafts, summarises, rewrites and answers questions using the information it has access to. Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word, Outlook and Teams is the most familiar example, and for most organisations the natural place to begin.
Agentic AI
Carries out a sequence of tasks on someone’s behalf, within limits you set. An agent might triage incoming requests, pull the relevant information from several systems and prepare a response for a person to check and send.
Autonomous agentic AI
Runs a defined process from start to finish without a person prompting each step. An event triggers it, it works through the process and hands back the result, and people review the outcomes and exceptions.
Why choose LIMA for data and AI?
We do the groundwork to understand your business and user behaviour, before we recommend anything. Every AI engagement begins with the work your teams do and the outcomes the business needs. The technology follows from there. It takes a little longer to start than handing over a licence, but it is the only approach we’ve seen that changes how people work.
