About
ESG
LIMA is committed to driving positive social value in every area of our business. To us, ESG (environment, social and governance) is about making a lasting positive impact to the communities we serve, the environment we impact, and the people we work with.

By aligning our activities with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and prioritising initiatives that align with the skills and passions of our team, we can make a tangible, long-term impact.
The environment and sustainability
At LIMA, we are committed to measuring our environmental impact and setting future goals for carbon reduction.
We have actively established a range of operational carbon reduction initiatives, alongside sustainable procurement and a programme of sustainability innovation within our product set.
We view carbon reduction not only as a responsibility, but as an opportunity to drive innovation and efficiency in our services. This commitment ensures we continue to lead by example and deliver sustainable IT solutions for our customers.

Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialised
LIMA holds the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialised accreditation, awarded to organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to sustainability through business practices and solutions. This accreditation highlights our efforts to integrate eco-friendly approaches in our services and infrastructure, contributing to a reduced environmental footprint, both for our business and for our customers.
Charity fundraising and volunteering
We are proud to have a long-standing commitment to supporting charities and making a meaningful difference to the lives of those in need.
Over the years we have partnered with a variety of local and national charitable organisations, providing both financial contributions and hands-on support through employee volunteering initiatives.

2024 Charity Partner
In 2024 LIMA’s charity of the year was Lifeshare, a Greater Manchester-based charity supporting individuals affected by homelessness. Through an internal auction of old devices, we raised over £1,400 for their Christmas appeal, helping to bring warmth and a hot meal to those in need during the festive season.
2025 Charity Partner
In 2025 we are supporting two incredible organisations: cancer support charity, Maggie’s, and Loaves and Fishes which supports the homeless, isolated and vulnerable in our home of Salford, and the surrounding area.
In partnership with Loaves and Fishes, we are looking forward to leveraging our technical expertise to make a difference. Our team are set to attend basic IT workshops at local community drop-in sessions, empowering individuals with essential digital skills to gain knowledge and skills to reduce the risk of future homelessness.

Suppliers and social value
We are committed to ensuring that the contractors and suppliers serving our Salford Quays office align with our social value commitments. In 2024, we took a significant step by transitioning to Jigsaw as our facilities partner, in large part due to Jigsaw’s approach to supporting neurodivergent individuals into meaningful employment.
