The challenge
Windows 10 AVD approaching end of life
APEM Group is a UK-headquartered environmental consultancy operating internationally. Their complex AVD environment was running on Windows 10, with end of life approaching.
APEM needed the new environment to perform at least as well as the old one, with no disruption to staff, and preferably at a lower cost.
LIMA’s Professional Services team delivered the migration to Windows 11 AVD, with Nerdio embedded from the outset to handle cost optimisation. The project completed on time and went live without major incident.
The solution

The initial estimated cost saving going into the project was a 30% saving, but the actual results delivered a saving of more than 40%.
