BaaS from LIMA
LIMA’s BaaS is deliberately a little different from how most providers package backup. Most MSPs bundle the managed service and the storage together, which means they dictate where your data goes. LIMA decouples the two.
Our managed service covers the work: daily health checks, human intervention when backups fail, unlimited recoveries under contract, regular restore testing and reporting back to your stakeholders.
Your data can go wherever makes most sense for you: on-premise, in LIMA Cloud, in Azure, or a combination of all three following the 3-2-1 rule (three copies, across two locations, with one air-gapped). The storage cost is separate and billed based on consumption. The managed service is a fixed monthly fee, the same for every customer.
Immutable backup
Immutable backup is available as an option – and one that’s increasingly recommended. If an attacker gets into your environment, they can potentially delete or tamper with your backup data before you know they’re there. Immutable backups use a write-once, read-many principle: once data is written, it cannot be deleted or altered ahead of its natural retention window. That gives you confidence that what you’re restoring is clean, unaltered data. Most cyber insurers now ask whether your backups are immutable. For most organisations, the answer should be yes.
